cant live in ancient times!

i was thinking about this when a blackout for 2 or 3 days (i think) ruined my activities of daily living.. that was due to a typhoon of which i forgot the name.. during that time, since the electricity was out, i cant use any gadgets because all of their batteries were dead.. i cant even use the computer or television.. i cant listen to music which i normally do most of the time especially when im bored.. only the candle served as our light when eating, writing, reading, etc.. i went to bed too early because i have nothing to do anymore.. as i lay, i started to think...

is this the life of our ancestors when technologies was not yet invented? how can they survived with this kind of living? its really hard.. they can only work in day.. because at night, its hard for them to see.. maybe that's the reason why the superstition "pag nagupit ka ng kuko sa gabi, mapuputol ang iyong daliri".. its really true, but during their time only beacuse maybe if you cut your nails, you might as well cut your fingers accidentally due to poor lightings.. in terms of communication, its hard to send a message to someone.. they have to go to see that someone to let their message be known.. and their means of transportation is through animal riding and walking...

as i reflect, i realized that im very fortunate and very very blessed because i was born at the time when everything is getting easier.. when technologies are their to help mankind.. in this way i dont have to rub two rocks to create fire.. i dont have to live in cage or somewhere else.. i dont have to walk miles just to go to different places.. its now easy for us to send instant message, or cook instant foods.. what a life... thank GOD!

Pomegranate : an all in one fruit?

it was Sunday when my friend went to our house inviting me to attend the Church. when we arrived there, the preaching nearly started. It was all about the fruit Pomegranate. that's why i came up with this topic.

Songs of Solomon 4:13 "Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with
pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard,"
4:16 "Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits."

Have you ever encounter or hear something about the fruit POMEGRANATE? do you know that it can really save your life?

well, a pomegranate is native in Iran. it is a fruit that is rounded hexagonal in shape and has thick reddish skin with approximately 600 seeds. its tree is just a small one of about 5 to 8 meters tall.

Pomegranate is a delicious fruit that provides numerous health benefits. it has an anti-oxidant, antiviral, and anti-tumor activity. studies have shown that it may prevent prostate cancer and has anticancer effects on breast. it also provides HIV1 entry inhibitor that blocks virus from binding to CD4 cells. its also rich in potassium and other vitamins and minerals. for more nutritional facts, just surf the World Wide Web. it has a lot of substances that can aid in a large number of diseases and that are really advantageous in our health.

maybe you're planning to plant a pomegranate tree. well, it can thrive on calcareous, alkaline soil and on deep, acidic loam and a wide range of soils in between these exteremes. it can also bloom without cultivation on gravel. meaning, it can really grow anywhere! it has a moderate frost tolerant of about -10C. it can in fact endure that cold. it can also grow in the dessert because of its drought-tolerant characteristic. maybe you're wondering how a pomegranate can grow in a dry land and where it will obtain water for its own survival. it acquires water from the moisture of air at night. on its minute amount, it can actually survive!

others believe that pomegranate was the forbidden fruit eaten by Adam and Eve because of its "powerful" element. others think that it was the tree of life. and the others said that King Solomon's crown was based on this fruit. whatever their claims maybe, one thing is for sure. GOD wants us to be like a pomegranate in a sense that we must grow and prosper spiritually in whatever place we are in. even though we're just small like its tree, we must bear plenty of fruits. we must also be contented on the things that are given to us, like a pomegranate that has satisfied on a moist.

Phillipians 4:11 "Not that I speak in respect of want: I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be CONTENT."

if you're planning to have a pomegranate, we have it here in the Philippines. you can buy it in the Market Market for only P200 per kilo or P60 per piece.

hope you absorb something... anyway, thanks to my source! :)
